Crop farms in
Romania tend to be larger than in Western
Europe, this along with lower payroll costs are
the main reasons foreign farmers and investors are
attracted to this part of Europe.

the same as in Western Europe, in Romania it is
possible (& widespread) to obtain EU grants for
up to 50% of the cost to buy new
machinery.

short-term basis, reimbursed at harvest.

available in some areas. Irrigated farms are

The type of crops you
wish to cultivate will be a deciding factor in the
choice of region. For example, most potato and
sugar-beet farms are in Transylvania, while the
largest cereal farms in the big plains of Dobrogea,
Muntenia, Oltenia and Banat.

located in Transylvania, where you will find
lots of Black Angus, Limousin, and - as strange as
it may sound - African Bufalo.
